WELCOME TO MY STUDIO

Hey, I’m Makayla.

I’m a visual artist based in Port Angeles WA. I create vibrant paintings from my backyard studio, and am endlessly inspired by the diverse natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

MY HIGHEST GOAL IS TO CREATE ARTWORK THAT BECOMES A TOUCH POINT OF BEAUTY THAT ENHANCES YOUR DAILY LIFE.

I offer original paintings and fine art prints here in my online shop, and locally at Harbinger Winery and other small shops in the Port Angeles area.

Art prints are printed right in my studio on a professional large format printer. I always use the highest quality paper and premium pigment inks so that your artwork will last a lifetime.

When I’m not painting, you’ll usually find me outside or on a trail somewhere taking in the quietness and scenery.

My Creative Process Is Never Linear.

At my core I’m a planner, but when it comes to painting the less “planning” I do, the better.

Instead, I follow sparks of interest, energy, ideas & inspiration. I’ve found that my best paintings are the least planned… probably because there’s plenty of room for spontaneity.

My favorite way to work is jumping from one canvas to another- using fresh ideas and fresh energy for each one.  I rarely work on one piece from start to finish!
