"The PATHS WE TAKE, THE WAYS WE GROW" - Triptych (set of 3)
This artwork celebrates the progression of life and the ways we grow as women.
INSPIRATION
What started as an attempt to capture the changing nature of flowers in the fall, became something much more personal. In this work I found a correlation between the life cycle of plants and the subtle, shifting nature of the female experience related to identity and endeavor.
Free flowing washes of color are connected by delicate line work that interweave throughout. Earthy muted tones with magenta and violet hues communicate a feminine energy. When placed side by side horizontally, these pieces connect to create an ongoing picture.

Signed and titled on the back with hanging hardware installed for either a vertical or horizontal format.

SHIPPING
Your painting will be very carefully packaged in a study cardboard box and wrapped with lots of padding to prevent damage. I generally ship via USPS however, larger paintings may come via FedEx. You will receive an email notification with a tracking number when your item ships.
Studio pickup is available to local residents in the Port Angeles area. Choose this option at checkout and I will email you to set up a date/time.
A NOTE FROM MAKAYLA:
These three paintings depict three growth stages beginning with “Potential” and finishing at “Maturity”.
In some ways we are continually moving through these stages in different parts of our life. Growth isn’t a linear nor tidy thing.
It can be complex, wild, and sometimes raw- but it’s a significant and beautiful part of life.
My desire is that you would find hope & encouragement in every stage of your journey.
“POTENTIAL”
Young and innocent, you don’t even know the beauty that you hold, nor the divine gifts hidden deep inside. Your heart is open and the world unfolds before you. The future may seem unclear, and uncertainty might try to take hold. Don’t let it. Keep moving forward and don’t forget who you are. You were created with love and purpose. Your measure and worth isn’t found “out there”.
“PROCESS”
Don’t get discouraged by the bumps in the road, and please don’t doubt your worth, ability, or purpose. Disillusionment can happen, and if you loose your way for awhile, there’s a road back called ‘grace’.
Sometimes you will travel on a nicely paved street, where things feel easy and you find your groove. Other times you’ll find yourself on a trail… narrow, rough, and raw. It will require strength, energy, and perseverance. Remember, you’re capable of more than you know, and there will be a payoff in the end. Maintain hope and keep your friends close.
“MATURITY”
Look how far you’ve come! You’ve known hardship, struggle, doubt, and pain, but the wounds and scars have become your crown of triumph. You’re creating a legacy. Your investment of time, care, and love for others has not been wasted or gone unnoticed. You’ll see the reward for your stewardship in both large and small measures.
